Many of you have been wondering what's been going on with zddl.  We are postponing the league until certain political matters get resolved.  Please continue discussion however, the more input we get the better we will be able to run the league when we are able to start it back up.

Haha, plug your own map why don't you.  Grin

It's a good map though. I would like to nominate it. It's a good alternative to Judas if you like fast paced maps.

Guys, i was reading the map pool. I guess that 5th map should be small, fast, without spawn hunting, camping ? Lemme suggest you this:

Hey guys,  so it really seems that most people are not in support of changing zddl playoff format to the proposed idea.  Also, as I had mentioned before, everyone has a different opinion on the map pool and I'm not exactly sure what to do about that matter.  People do seem to be open to a change in that regard, but few want the same change.  At this point, I'd say we should probably not implement the playoff idea, and run the league in the same playing format as we always have before. As far as maps go, I'm not exactly sure what we will do on those, but I'm still considering using a different/expanded map pool.

I believe NS style maps would somewhat be an advantage to those that can freelook at will. But I have no problem seeing them though so its w/e.

Why do there have to be specific NS maps for mouse look?

I just want to say I agree with the map pool being at 7 since now we can see different maps being played. Like Solar stated earlier, I am a King1 fan so I dont mind seeing it again but there are other maps out there that should be in (Lazarus/Dweller/SSL).

I'm going to have to agree with icey here and say that it would be better to use all new maps rather than expanding the map pool. I mean if we used seven maps that would mean that players would have to play a total of five games per match right? Unless the opponents are on totally different skill levels it seems to me that it would take a long ass time to finish. Hasn't the ZDDL used pretty much the exact same map set for the past three seasons? In my opinion, it's just time to change it up a bit. I mean there good maps out there other than judas,boo,d5m1,d2m1,d5m7 ...

Oh, and mouse look please.

Perhaps we could have a midyear NS ZDDL. I'd be up for this, but the only problem is there aren't that many NS duel maps out there.

However, why not let participants play on tier map they want to play. Let say just for example sake, I and Kov would like to play our tier map as of onls3 map01, why not?

I'm going to have to say no to this one. While it sounds like a great idea, imagine if someone requests a map such as 2dmmaps or omgmaps or some other zany wad. Those types of maps are designed for spamming and really don't belong in a serious competition such as ZDDL.

I already mentioned these but I think pitting Div3 vs Div1 is too brutal, maybe Div2 vs Div3 first then the top X amount of those players move on to face Div1.  That way the Div3 guys who can't hack it vs Div2 don't get slaughtered.

Oh, and mouse look please.
